Bent Con 2012

Bent-Con is fast approaching and if you happen to be in the Burbank, CA area, I highly recommend the show.  And not because I'll be speaking on a panel with my writing partner from "Campus Ghost Story", Quentin Lee, on Sunday @4pm.   The show looks to be a lot of fun and I look forward to all the geek-festivities!  Here's the full schedule of events for the convention!

Election 2012!

Well, the biggest news of the day is the Presidential election and the re-election of Obama into the White House. Whether or not you voted for him, I hope that those who have the privilege of voting went out to make their voices heard! And during the next Presidential election, you may want to keep an eye on the 7-Election because the outcome of their vote-by-coffee-cup results @7-Eleven are usually fairly accurate!

Disney buys the Death Star!!

I can't believe that Disney is buying Lucasfilm and all things Star Wars for the tune of $4.05 BILLION!!  As a creator, it's a bit hard for me to fathom how Lucas can let go of his baby.  But I guess like all parents, it's finally time to let go and allow the franchise to move on with other people at the helm.  Apparently, Lucas will stay on board as a creative consultant, but what's he going to do with all that money??  Maybe Lucas will use the capital to pursue his interests in technology.  After all, he is the founder of ILM, developer of THX and on the forefront of digital film making.  So maybe he won't be making smartphones and iPads, but maybe he'll find a way to create a working light sabre!  Can you imagine the destructive capabilities of a 5-year-old child with a real light sabre?  SWEET!!!
